Flight returns with 236 Sri Lankans in Germany

A group of Sri Lankans in Germany have been brought back to the island this evening (06).

A SriLankan Airlines flight, which took off from Hamburg in Germany, has landed at Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport with 36 Sri Lankans aboard.

These expatriates are civil ship crew members who were stranded at foreign ports.


Meanwhile, a group of 42 returnees from Malaysia, Korea and the United Kingdom who were quarantined at the facility set up at Ayurvedic Hospital in Rajagiriya, has completed the process today.

In addition, 159 Sri Lankan students who returned from Russia left for homes today after completing the quarantine procedure at the facility in Diyagama.
