Chief Prelate of Galkanda Sri Vijaya Dhamma Pirivena stabbed to death

The Chief Prelate of the Galkanda Sri Vijaya Dhamma Pirivena in Induruwa has been hacked to death last night (28).
The Chief Prelate Ven. Yatiyana Buddhananda Thero has been found dead with cut wounds by a group who had visited the temple the next morning (29).
Ven. Yatiyana Buddhananda Thero, the deceased Chief Prelate, had been 73 years in age at the time of passing.
Police are carrying out investigations to determine whether the prelate was murdered by a person who had come to rob the temple.
