298 Sri Lankans repatriated from UAE

A group of 298 Sri Lankans in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has returned to the country this morning (09).

A special flight chartered by SriLankan Airlines, UL 226, touched down at the Mattala International Airport at around 6.05 am today.

The returnees, who were stranded in the UAE following the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, were directed to PCR testing upon arrival.
