Misinformation on social media monitored by CID - Police

Persons who spread false information and rumors over social media platforms are being monitored by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), said the Police Media Spokesman.

Police Media Spokesman SSP Jaliya Senaratne stated that stern legal action will be taken against those who spread misinformation.
