Interruptions to the power supply have been reported from several districts in the country, stated the Ministry of Power and Energy.

The Ministry stated that this was due to the inclement weather conditions experienced in the country.

There have been reports of trees falling on power cables as well, stated the Ministry.

Measures are underway to restore power supply to the affected areas, the Ministry added.

Meanwhile, train services on the Kelani Valley Railway Line have been disrupted due to fallen trees.

The Railway Control Room stated that the repair work of the railway line has already commenced.
