Couple arrested while packing heroin in Piliyandala

A couple has been arrested while packing heroin inside a house they had rented in Suwarapola, Piliyandala.

 

The suspects were taken into custody along with 75 grams of heroin, police said.

 

The arrest has been made at around 2.00 pm on Tuesday (25) following a tip-off received by the Moratumulla Police.

 

Reports revealed that the suspects, aged 39 and 43, are residents of Moratumulla area.

 

They will be produced before Kesbewa Magistrate’s Court today (26).

 

The police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
