Covid-19: six more recoveries bring total to 2,889

Six more patients who had previously tested positive for Covid-19 have fully recovered and discharged from hospital.

Four patients from the National Institute of Infectious Diseases (NIID) and two from the Welikanda Base Hospital have been discharged. 

This brings the total number of Covid-19 recoveries in the country to 2,889.

Meanwhile 201 patients infected with the virus are currently under treatment.
