Public Day at govt. institutions shifted to Monday

The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to shift the the Public Day at the government institutions from Wednesday to Monday.

The Cabinet Spokesperson Minister Udaya Gammanpila stated this during the weekly media briefing to announce Cabinet decisions today (10).

This decision was reached taking into account the concerns raised with regard to the inconvenience faced by the public in this regard.

All state officials of public institutions are accordingly mandated to be available at their respective offices on Mondays to perform the requirements of the public.
