AG approves guidelines for destroying items of foreign origin suspected of Covid-19 contamination

The Attorney General has approved a set of instructions to be followed by police in the destruction of seized items of foreign origin, with regard to cases of suspected Covid-19 contamination.

The instructions have been prepared with regard to the various contraband including narcotics smuggled into the country in boats from countries such as India, which are continuously seized by the Sri Lankan security forces and the police especially in coastal areas.
