11 coronavirus cases found at Katunayake EPZ

Eleven employees of another apparel factory in the Katunayake Export Processing Zone (EPZ) have tested positive for Covid-19, the Administrative Public Health Inspector at the Health Medical Officer’s office in Seeduwa, Mr Suresh Kumara said.

It is reported that more employees of the apparel factory in question were referred to PCR tests on Friday (09) and the test results received today (10) had confirmed that they have been infected with the virus.

Accordingly, 02 female workers and 09 male workers of the apparel factory had tested positive.
