Total recoveries from Covid-19 reach 3,457

Seventeen more patients who were under treatment for the Covid-19 were discharged today (20) as they have made complete recoveries, the Ministry of Health said.

According to the Epidemiology Unit’s situation report, 07 at National Institute of Infectious Diseases (NIID), 05 at Welikanda Base Hospital, 02 at Hambantota District General Hospital and 01 each from Colombo East Base Hospital, Theldeniya Base Hospital and Galgamuwa Base Hospital returned have to health. 

The new development has brought the total number of Covid-19 recoveries in Sri Lanka to 3,457.

Meanwhile, the number of confirmed cases stands at 5,685. The Epidemiology Unit says 2,215 of them are currently under medical care at selected hospitals across the country.
