Sri Lanka reports 60 more Covid-19 recoveries

Sixty individuals infected with COVID-19 have made complete recoveries today (22), says the Ministry of Health.

As per the situation report issued by the Epidemiology Unit, 32 patients at National Institute of Infectious Diseases (NIID), 13 at the Welikanda Base Hospital, 02 at the Hambantota District General Hosptial, 09 at the Rambukkana District Hospital and 04 at the Theldeniya Base Hospital have been discharged.

COVID-19 recuperations confirmed in Sri Lanka thereby reached 3,561.

Meanwhile, Covid-19 figures surged sharply with over 160 infections registered on Wednesday (21). According to statistics, the positive cases count now sits at 5,978.

The Epidemiology Unit says 2,404 active cases are currently under medical care at selected hospitals.

Sri Lanka also witnessed 13 deaths from the virus so far.
