Sri Lanka confirms 14th COVID-19 death

Sri Lanka reported its fourteenth death from the novel coronavirus, COVID-19, a short while ago, confirmed the Ministry of Health.

A 50-year-old female from Kuliyapitiya has succumbed to the virus in this manner.

She had passed away while receiving treatment at the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH) in Angoda.

The deceased patient had been transferred to IDH Hospital from Kuliyapitiya Hospital on October 17.

She had been suffering from a number of chronic diseases and died due to complications caused by the relevant chronic diseases, as confirmed by Chief Epidemiologist Dr. Sudath Samaraweera.
