No decision to lift Gampaha curfew tomorrow – Army Chief

No decision has been taken to lift the curfew imposed in the Gampaha District tomorrow (October 26), Army Commander Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva said.

He stated that necessary steps will be taken to allow the people to obtain essential items, while the quarantine curfew.

The Army Chief mentioned this joining the TV Derana morning show ‘Derana Aruna’, this morning (October 25).

Areas, where the curfew had been imposed for over 3 consecutive days, will be given the opportunity to obtain essential items tomorrow, he added.
