Curfew in Payagala, Beruwala, Aluthgama to continue till further notice

The quarantine curfew imposed in three police areas in the Kalutara District will continue until further notice, stated the Army Commander Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva.

A quarantine curfew was imposed on the Payagala, Beruwala, and Aluthgama police areas in Kalutara District on Friday (October 23).

It was previously decided to lift the curfew on Monday (October 26) morning at 5.00 am.

However, the curfew will continue until further notice and will not be lifted, as per the latest update.

The following areas are currently under curfew:

Colombo District: Mattakkuliya, Modara, Wellampitiya, Bloemendhal, Grandpass, Kotahena, Dematagoda, Maradana, Gothatuwa, Mulleriyawa, Maligawatte, Keselwatte, Dam Street, Barber Street, Foreshore, Fort, Pettah, Borella, and Welikada police areas

Kalutara District: Payagala, Beruwala, and Aluthgama police areas

Gampaha District: All of Gampaha District
