The Kosgoda Police Station in Galle, which had been temporarily shut down due to a COVID-19 risk, has resumed operations.
The services of the police station were temporarily suspended yesterday (25) due to two officers attached to the station receiving treatment from a COVID-19 infected doctor.
As a result, eight police officers were directed to a quarantine center in Habaraduwa while the rest were sent for self-quarantine in their homes.
However, after proper disinfection of the police station, officers of the Elpitiya Police Division have been deployed for duty at the Kosogoda police station.
Meanwhile, joining the ‘Derana Aruna’ this morning (26), Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana stated that nearly 345 police officers have been quarantined so far.
