The Z-score cutoff marks of the 2019 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination have been released online, the Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Senior Prof. Sampath Amarathunga said.

He stated that the minimum Z-scores for selection to courses of study of universities in respect of each district and detailed information of course selection based on the A/L Examination in 2019 can be accessed through the website- www.ugc.ac.lk

The release of the cut-off marks was repeatedly delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The results of the 2019 A/L examination were released in December 2019 and the students who had passed the exam were calling for the immediate release of Z-scores for university qualifications.

Last month, the UGC had said the Z-scores are expected to be released in the first week of October, however this too was pushed back following a surge on Covid-19 cases in the country.
