261 more coronavirus cases identified

More COVID-19 positive cases have been identified raising the total number of cases reported from the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda clusters to 4,939.

As per Army Commander Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, 261 more cases have been detected.

Reportedly, 27 among the latest cases are identified from the quarantine centers.

The remaining 234 are close contacts of the fishing communities.

Thereby, a total of 541 new cases have been detected within the day so far.
