Commuter trains back in service from today

Sri Lanka Railways says commuter trains will be up and running from today (16) in compliance with health and safety protocols.

However, the trains will not make stops at following railway stations located in isolated areas, except at Colombo Fort.

Main Line (from Colombo Fort to Polgahawela/Rambukkana/Kandy/Ganewatte/Maho)

  • Maradana Railway Station
  • Dematagoda Railway Station
  • Kelaniya Railway Station
  • Wanawasala Railway Station
  • Enderamulla Railway Station
  • Horape Railway Station
  • Ragama Railway Station
  • Walpola Railway Station
  • Batuwatte Railway Station


Chilaw Line (from Colombo Fort to Chilaw/Puttalam)

  • Peralanda Railway Station
  • Ja-Ela Railway Station
  • Tudella Railway Station
  • Kudahakapola Railway Station
  • Kurana Railway Station
  • Negombo Railway Station
  • Kattuwa Railway Station


Kelani Valley Line (from Colombo Fort to Kosgama/Avissawella)

  • Baseline Road Railway Station
  • Cotta Railway Station


Coastal Line (from Colombo Fort to Panadura/Kalutara/Aluthgama/Hikkaduwa/Galle/Matara/Beliatta)

  • Secretariat Railway Station
  • Slave Island Railway Station
  • Angulana Railway Station
