Akila Viraj resigns as UNP General Secretary

Former parliamentarian Akila Viraj Kariyawasam has resigned from his post as the General Secretary of the United National Party (UNP).

Speaking to Ada Derana, Kariyawasam said that the appointments to the new posts of the party are due in January 2021.
