Shani Abeysekara contracts COVID-19

Former Director of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Shani Abeysekara has tested positive for COVID-19, sources told Ada Derana.
Abeysekara is currently being held under remand custody at the Mahara Prison.
He was recently arrested over a case of fabricating evidence and the investigation currently ongoing over the matter.
