The Department of Motor Traffic (DMT) says it has introduced several telephone numbers to make appointments before obtaining the services provided by the Narahenpita and Werahera offices of the department, owing to the current situation of the country.

However, taking into the consideration the difficulties face by the clients when contacting the previously introduced numbers, they have been suspended.

A new telephone number 0112677877 has been introduced with effect from today (30) in connection with Sri Lanka Mobitel, and it is available for all 24 hours for reservation of the services, the DMT said.

It is notified that the services that have already been reserved are valid furthermore and they are able to obtain the said services as they have reserved. This facility has been introduced with the aim of providing more efficient and friendly service, the department said.
