Minuwangoda-Peliyagoda COVID-19 cluster exceeds 20,000 cases

The Department of Government Information says that another 178 persons have tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

All new cases are close contacts of patients who have previously tested positive for Covid-19.

Accordingly, the total number of cases affiliated with the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda Covid-19 cluster has climbed to 20,124.

This also brings the total number of coronavirus cases reported in the country thus far to 23,662.
