Agricultural waste imported falsely declared as coriander

Several container loads of agricultural waste have been imported to the Colombo Port declaring the containers as coriander seeds.

The containers filled with agricultural waste have been shipped here from Ukraine, according to the Sri Lanka Customs.

Customs spokesman Sunil Jayaratne said the waste had been imported declaring the containers as a stock of coriander valued at Rs 70 million.
