New mayor appointed to Jaffna MC

Member of Tamil National People’s Front (TNPF) V. Manivannan has been appointed as the new mayor of Jaffna Municipal Council.

He was selected to the mayorship of the Jaffna MC following the resignation of former Mayor E. Arnold.

Mr. Arnold stepped down from the post after the second reading of the municipal council’s budget was defeated.
