UGC premises closed off after coronavirus exposure

University Grants Commission (UGC) premises has been closed temporarily, says the Minister of Education Prof. G.L. Peiris.

He made this revelation addressing the parliamentary session earlier today (January 08).

The move came after a COVID-19 infected person was detected from the UGC.

Fifty PCR tests in total have been carried out at the UGC so far, according to the Education Minister.
