3,520 arrested in island-wide police operation

A total of 3,520 individuals have been arrested during a special police operation carried out island-wide, Police Media Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana stated.

Among the arrested, 830 were arrested over driving under the influence of alcohol.

Reportedly, another 1,185 arrestees had been persons whose warrants were pending.
