EPF members to be re-registered

The Department of Labour has taken steps to initiated a programme to re-register members of the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF), Commissioner General of the Department W.J.L.U. Wijeweera said.

He further said that a new insurance scheme too would be introduced to the members. Under the new registration, the serial numbers of the National Identity Card will be used as the EPF number.
Mr. Wijeweera noted that the fund has granted 10 percent of interest to the members for last year.
