Jathika Hela Urumaya Chairman and Member of Parliament Ven. Katapola Amarakiththa thero today announced to the media that he will quit his post and membership. He added that he will not take part in any politics in future.
According to the thero the main objective of forming the JHU was to help eradicate terrorism from Lankan soil and since that has been achieved he did not find the need to continue in politics.
