February 11, 2021   01:49 pm

Regular trading at the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) halted as the S&P SL20 index of liquid stocks plunged over 7.5%, triggering the second circuit breaker threshold.

However, the trade halt lasted only for 30 minutes and was lifted at 12.48 pm today (February 11).

This is the second time that the regular trading at the CSE was halted within the day.
