3,880 arrested in special island-wide police operation

A total of 3,880 individuals have been arrested during a special police operation carried out island-wide yesterday (February 13).
Among the arrestees, 1,572 had been persons issued arrest warrants, according to the Police Media Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana.
In addition, 518 have been arrested for driving under influence of alcohol.
