Sri Lanka has reported 02 more coronavirus-related deaths, the Director-General of Health Services confirmed today (February 20).

As per the Department of Government Information, both victims are male patients.

The new deaths bring the number of COVID-19 related deaths witnessed in Sri Lanka to 435 in total.

01. The deceased is a 66-year-old male from Kuruwita. He was diagnosed as infected with Covid-19 and transferred from Apeksha Hospital Maharagama to IDH Hospital where he died on 19.02.2021. The cause of death is mentioned as respiratory failure, blood poisoning, COVID-19 pneumonia, and cancer.
  
02. The deceased is a 78-year-old male from Thihariya. He was diagnosed as infected with Covid-19 and transferred from District Hospital Gampaha to Base Hospital Homagama where he died on 20.02.2021. The cause of death is mentioned as COVID-19 pneumonia.
