Partly burnt body found in car at Kohuwala

A partly burnt body has been found inside a car at Asiri Mawatha in Kohuwala area, says the Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana.

The body is said to be of a 33-year-old businessman who was residing at Bhathiya Mawatha in Kalubowila.

According to DIG Rohana, the car in which the body was recovered at around 11.30 pm yesterday (March 10) is completely burnt.

It is revealed that the deceased has had dinner at a restaurant in the area and later left in the car in question.

The government analyst and other experts are expected to arrive at the scene and a magistrate’s inquest on the body will be carried out within the day, the police spokesperson added.

Kohuwala Police is carrying out further investigations into the incident.
