Man arrested with heroin worth Rs.20 million

An individual has been arrested in the area of Rajagiriya while in possession of more than 2kg of heroin, says the Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana.

The arrest was made during a raid carried out by the officers of Police Special Task Force (STF) attached to the Jayewardenapura Camp.

Seized haul of heroin has been estimated to be valued at Rs. 20 million, according to reports.

The suspect was identified as a 40-year-old who was residing in Rajagiriya.

The Police Narcotics Bureau is carrying out further investigations into the incident.
