Vehicle goes up in flames on Southern Expressway

A vehicle had spontaneously erupted in flames on the Southern Expressway earlier this evening (March 22).
According to Ada Derana reporter, the incident had occurred between Kottawa and Athurugiriya at around 8.30 pm today.
The vehicle had been severely damaged by the fire when a fire truck reached the scene.
The cause of the fire has not been identified as of yet.
