294 more patients recover from COVID-19

Another 294 Covid-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from medical care.

According to Epidemiology Unit statistics, recoveries count of Sri Lanka has climbed to 89,701.

Majority of the recoveries were reported from Warakapola Base Hospital (35), Embilipitiya Treatment Centre (26), Dankotuwa District Hospital (25) and Dr Neville  Fernando Teaching Hospital (17).

As per the daily situation report, 2,645 of active cases are still receiving treatment at designated hospitals and treatment centres.

Sri Lanka has also witnessed 571 fatalities due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
