Customs seizes more than 7,000 kg of illegally-imported turmeric

Sri Lanka Customs has seized a container with a massive consignment of turmeric illegally imported to the island.

According to reports, the seized turmeric consignment weighs a total of 7,110 kg.

Customs spokesperson said investigations are being carried out on three more suspected containers.
