Magistrate chastises police

The Colombomagistrate today directed the Inspector General of Police to give an explanation as to why the image of Police has eroded. Magistrate Champa Janaki Rajarathna made this order while taking on a case where the police failed to give proper evidence against a person who had an illegal passport in his possession.

 

 

She said that it was her observation that the police possessed many shortcomings in different cases.
