COVID: 764 new infections move daily count to 1,914

With another 764 new COVID-19 positive cases reported in Sri Lanka today (May 04), the daily total so far has increased to 1,914.

According to the Epidemiology Unit, 1,845 of the new cases reported today are associated with the New Year Covid-19 cluster.

Fifteen of them were linked to the prison cluster and the remaining 54 were identified as arrivals from foreign countries.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus reported in the country to 115,590.
