Sri Lanka’s ‘FH Studio Collection’ has clinched markets in the Czech Republic following its success at the recent “Colombo Fashion Week 2010”.

The “FH Studio Collection”, the most exclusive and innovative designer collection by Sri Lanka’s renowned  men’s wear specialist Fouzul Hameed was showcased on opening night on the catwalks at the Colombo Fashion Week 2010. Among the collections were the ‘Summer Wear Collection’ and the ‘Ceremonial Wear Collection’, both of which were presented by leading Sri Lankan and foreign models.

Audience appreciation was at its highest level to what was termed “an elegant selection”. The product variants, their finish, quality, content and style harmonized well with the best of European fashion collections thus embodying a great selection for the fashion conscious male both in Sri Lanka and overseas.

Following the success of the ‘FH Studio Collection’ at the ‘Colombo Fashion Week’, Jaroslav Krcmar and Tomas Zobina from JTC Investments Pvt. Ltd. in the Czech Republic had spoken to Fouzul Hameed and explored possibilities of marketing the ‘FH’ brand in Prague. Successful discussions between the two parties will now see Sri Lanka’s ‘FH Studio Collection’ soon available in the Czech capital Prague, thus taking the very best of local couture to this European capital.

Since 1992, the extensive historic centre of Prague has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites, making the city one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe, receiving more than 4.1 million international visitors annually, as of 2009.

Said Fouzul Hameed, “This was my third year at the Colombo Fashion Week. In retrospect I feel that this has also been my best collection compared to the previous two years. The FH Brand is currently marketed in India and Maldives. Adding the Czech Republicto this growing portfolio is indeed a significant achievement. Not only does it bring me a sense of personal pride and achievement, it has also brought glory and honour to Sri Lanka. This will undoubtedly help me and other local designers to compete and unveil unique collections on par with international designers … and does augur well for Sri Lankan couture”.
