
The Democratic National Alliance (DNA) which contests the upcoming General Elections under the leadership of General (Retired) Sarath Fonseka kicked off its island-wide campaigning by distributing handbills yesterday (March 1).
The handbill contains an address by the retired General to the masses and the distribution initially began in
Mr. Herath also said that rallies and door-to-door campaigns will be held where these handbills will be distributed.
Meanwhile, DNA sources allege that the online signature campaign launched on March 01 to seek the release of detained general Fonseka has been disrupted by certain vested interests. They claimed that the website has been hacked or blocked by certain groups to prevent the public from seeking access to the site. It accused the Government of being responsible for this act.
