While Uthuru Wasanthaya(Northern spring), Nadenahira Udanaya(Reawakening of East) and Development in the South are at a pace, why should we in the Central region feel left out, asks Minister Keheliya Rambukwella. The former UNPer and present UPFA Minister said this addressing a gathering at Yatinuwara in Kandy.

He added that though he has a strong bond with President Mahinda Rajapaksa there are certain times and issues that they disagree with each other. On several occasion I have personally discussed the plight of the people in the Central region with the President more than other minister, he said.

Though high ranking officials visit the Dalada Maligawa and go away there are many areas like nearby Lewella where home are still covered by polythene sheets. The Next target will be to uplift their way of life, says Rambukwella.
