Puttalam UC chairman passes away in accident

Chairman of Puttalam Urban Council, Abdul Baiz has passed away at the age of 52.
According to Puttalam Hospital sources, he died in a motor accident which took place today (May 23).
Mr. Baiz was a former Member of Parliament representing Puttalam Electoral District and a former Deputy Cabinet Minister.
He has also served as the national organizer of the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC).
