Govt assures no hike in gas prices

The Cabinet of Ministers has decided not to increase the price of a 12.5 kg cylinder of domestic Liquid Petroleum (LP) gas.

Cabinet Spokesman Minister Keheliya Rambukwella confirmed this, a short while ago.

Accordingly, the 12.5 kg cylinder of domestic LP gas will continue to be sold at the usual price of Rs 1,493.
