The Police are unable to completely remove all posters, cutouts and banners put up by candidates for the upcoming General Elections, said Inspector General of Police Mahinda Balasuriya, addressing the media a short while ago.

Addressing a media briefing, Mr. Balasuriya said that during the Presidential Election the candidates in the fray were limited. However, for the General Election of April 8 there are more than 7,000 candidates and removing all posters, cutouts etc. put up by them was a near impossible task.
