Fertilizer importers ordered to release hoarded stocks within a week

Minister of Agriculture Mahindananda Aluthgamage has ordered fertilizer importers to release the fertilizer stocks they have been hoarding.

The Minister claims that the importers are currently hoarding 100,000 metric tonnes of fertilizer without releasing them to the market.

Minister Aluthgamage ordered the importers to release their stocks to the market within a week.
