Public meetings, protests banned until further notice – Police

Activities such as public meetings and protests which gather large numbers of people will not be allowed until further notice, Sri Lanka Police announced today.

The directives have been issued by the Director-General of Health Services taking into account the risks of further spread of novel coronavirus.

Stern action will be taken against those who violate this quarantine regulation, the police stressed.
