COVID-19 vaccination programs operated by the Army, Navy, Police and the Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) are operative today (August 11) at multiple locations.

Sri Lanka Navy is conducting a vaccination clinic near the Colombo Lighthouse on Chaithya Road today to roll out first and second doses of Sinopharm vaccine to any person above the age of 30 years.

In addition, Sri Lanka Police will be administering COVID jabs at Randiya Udayana community centre in Mihijaya Sevana, Modara for unvaccinated people in the city of Colombo. The vaccination clinic will operate from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm today with the assistance of the CMC.

Meanwhile, the army will commence a special mobile vaccination program in the Western Province from today for unvaccinated elderly people and special needs people.

The program will kick off at the Army Headquarters in Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte this morning. Reportedly, medics of the Army Medical Corps will be assigned for this purpose, along with 10 special vehicles.

The general public is requested to contact 0112 860 002 or hotline 1906 to register themselves to get vaccinated, the army said further.

Further, the CMC has also made plans to roll out mobile vaccinations and registrations for vaccinations can be done via the e-mail address – mobilevaccination@colombo.mc.gov.lk
