Begging to be banned in trains from April

Any sort of begging will be banned inside trains from April 01, Commercial Director of Sri Lanka Railways Wijaya Samarasinghe told Adaderana this morning (March 28).

 

Begging and soliciting money inside commuter trains has been a common practice and several measures taken to discourage it have proved futile. However, from April 01 the Sri Lanka Railways is to take strict measures to curb this menace.
