Import tax on Big Onions

The government has decided to impose an import tax of Rs 40 on Big Onions, Minister of Agriculture Mahindananda Aluthgamage stated.

The tax will be in effect from today (September 07), the Minister said.

Minister Aluthgamage mentioned this during the press conference held to inform Cabinet decisions.
